The Ancient Himalayan Hot Stones Treatment at Janet Ginnings Hair & Beauty salon

Beauty Guru Janet Ginning’s introduces one of the most relaxing and tranquil . . .  not to mention natural face and body treatments to her Mayfair Salon. The ancient art of using Himalayan Hot Stones has been used for hundreds of years to combat stress and promote relaxation, and now Janet has given it her inevitable stamp by using the newest technology - Sorisa, which ensures the stones are heated to exactly the right temperature.

The Stones have come from the mountains of the Himalayas in India and have been passed through water and ice, making them polished over time. The stones are heated and used in an innovative massage to promote harmony and emotional balance which in turn evokes a feeling of nurtured wellbeing!

    During the treatment
•    As you begin your treatment you will be made to feel completely comfortable by your therapist, by lying down wrapped in soft blankets whilst listening to soft, relaxing music.
•    Music plays a very important role in relaxation as it effects the state of mind and can help you to achieve harmony and equilibrium, which has a positive effect on the treatment
•    To begin with, the computerised Sorisa heater water starts to warm the stones.  You are then laid onto a flat stone to warm the lower abdomen, as the feeling of warmth and relaxation takes over, the massage begins.
•    Starting from the shoulders, working down the back and hips and onto the legs the specialised massage will encourage full lymph drainage.
•    Small stones are then placed between the toes and in the palms of hands to help blood circulation.
•    Turning over, your legs, stomach, arms and décolleté are massaged whilst the warm flat stone is laid under the back to keep you warm.
•    After diagnosis of the skin, the face is then cleansed, toned and moisturised
•    The correct oil is chosen to stimulate, relax or balance depending on your skin type.
•    Face is then massaged with small Hot Stones which leaves you with a pleasant tingling sensation as accumulated muscle stress is released.

•    After the massage is completed a moisturising masque is applied to face and you are left to relax
•    The face is then cleansed and moisturised once again to leave you with dewy, soft and supple skin.
